PDP Stakeholders in Arochukwu endorse Ikpeazu and Ohuabunwa for Second Term

Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Arochukwu, Abia State extraction has rated the administration and stewardship of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Senator Mao Ohuabunwa highly and as a result, endorsed both for second term come 2019.

The rating and endorsement came on the heels of a joint meeting of the Arochukwu Clan Stakeholders, the Local Government and Wards working committees held in Arochukwu on Thursday and made available to newsmen by the Arochukwu Local Government Youth Leader, Godwin Ogbonnaya, popularly known as OGSM in a press release.

The motion for their endorsement which was jointly moved by the Chairman, Arochukwu Ward 1 and his Ward 3 counterpart, Mazi Augustine Ugwu and Mazi Okezie Lloyd respectively also received group support from the Secretary, Arochukwu Ward 1, Ward 2 Youth Leader and party Treasurer in the area, Mazi Daniel Ulu, Edward Nwankwo and Nnannaya Ijoma respectively.

During the meeting, Arochukwu Local Government Area Supervisor for Women Affairs, Hon. Nene Nwokoro appealed to party leaders to allow Arochukwu clan produce the party’s candidate for the state House of Assembly. Her appeal was supported by Deputy Chairman, Arochukwu Ward 2, Mazi Samuel Okereke.

however, a motion for a vote of no-confidence for non-performance and anti-party activities on the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Constituency in the National Assembly  Mr. Uko Nkole was moved by Youth Leader, Arochukwu Ward 1, Mazi Ikenga Ijoma Ikenga and seconded by the Publicity Secretary, Arochukwu Ward 2, Isaac Okoro.

Earlier, the party’s Youth Leader of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Mazi Godwin Ogbonnaya while assuring of his own loyalty to the party urged members to also be steadfast.

He thanked stakeholders for turning out en masse and expressed gratitude to the Arochukwu Clan for their decision concerning Governor Ikpeazu and Senator Ohuabunwa.

On his own part, the Arochukwu Local Government Area Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Hon. Nwabueze Okoro thanked organisers of the meeting and pledged his support and loyalty to party leaders especially towards their target of returning the governor and our senator describing their leadership style as “peculiar and people-oriented”.
