The Association of Women In Colleges of Education (WICE) has conducted its election and swearing in of its executive members led by Dr. (Mrs.) Zipporah Duguryil of the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State.  Duguryil who was until then the head of department and secretary of the Editorial Board, Pankshin College of Education took over the leadership of the association from the immediate past president, Mrs. Mary Aibange who had presided over the association for four  years.

Speaking with news men during the swearing in and inauguration of exco members, Dr. Duguryil pledged alliance with other women organizations all over the world by investing in children and ensuring that they are celebrated.

She further said the association is both for teaching and non-teaching staff while enjoining people to use what the society has given them to
develop Nigeria. According to her, “At a point you need to give out what the society has given to you and we intend to take that down to the level of our students. For our students in the secondary schools, we also intend to invite them and present ourselves as role models so that they can
learn from us,” she said.

On her part, the outgoing president of WICE, Mrs. Aibange commended members for turning up from across different colleges in the country for the meeting and said the association is always committed at ensuring development in the country.
