This week’s documentary on the Cable News Network – CNN African Voices – which celebrates Africa’s influential talents, will feature Nigeria’s budding style icon, Jide Ipaye.

Globacom is the sponsor of African Voices, which airs on Friday at 10.30 a.m., with repeat broadcasts at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, and at 12.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Sunday. There are further repeats at 11.30 a.m. on Monday and at 5.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Two other outstanding youngsters will be featured in this week’s episode along with Ipaye. They are super model, Noella Coursaris of Congo, and Mauritian designer, Mario Guillot.

The Nigerian trendsetter is the founder of fast-rising shoe manufacturing company, Keexs Footwear.
Keexs is regarded as the innovative social-oriented footwear brand in Africa with a mission to revolutionise the concept of footwear on the continent. Ipaye seeks to bring avant-garde and exciting concepts not just to fashion, but also to life in general. While doing footwear, he is also empowering communities through social-oriented projects.

Ipaye says the driving force behind his project is the need to take more individual and collective initiatives towards correcting some social issues “…rather than sitting around complaining and waiting for our leaders to solve everything.”
