Bauchi Police nab four suspected assassins

Police detectives have arrested suspected hire-Killers and their accomplices, Bauchi Command of the Nigeria Police has said.

According to the spokesman of the Bauchi State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, the suspects were nabbed by detectives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in collaboration with Alkaleri Division of the force.

A statement by the spokesman says the syndicate apprehended  include “Isa B. Masu, male and 29 years of Nasarawa ward, Kaduna; Umar Mohammed, male and 34 years of Billiri in Gombe State and, Abdulkareem Abdullahi, male and 29 years of the same address”.

The suspects allegedly “conspired with one Kabiru Mohammed Gani, Staff of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Gombe State Command  and attempted to kill one Ishiaku Auta aged 29 years of Kaduna State along Alkaleri -Futuk Road”, the police statement says.

The victim was stabbed severally on his lower abdomen, head and abandoned in the bush by the assailants.

The scene was visited by the Police and the victim was rushed to General hospital Alkaleri, where he was in coma for three days before he regained consciousness.

Meanwhile, the Command disclosed that all the four suspects have been arrested and the matter is currently under investigation to uncover the motive behind their action before the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
