Popular Tales by Moonlight pioneer presenter and coordinator of Nigerian Children’s Parliament, Nkem Oselloka-Orakwue (known as Auntie Nkem) has joined the Team of instructors, experts who are training the Children in the Children’s House Abuja, a new school for early child Education located in the Apo Legislative quarters.
Nkem Orakwue who joins the school as social development consultant/Instructor says she is launching a club for children in Abuja that will take place in the school. She says details of the activities and programs of the club can be accessed through the school website or visit to the school.
Auntie Nkem who spoke exclusively to the UNITY TIMES says she is fully back to the children, though she has always been in touch with the children through different programs all these years. She advised parents, especially those residing in Abuja to register their children in the Children’s House, as a best place for nurturing the next generation of leaders and change makers.
She promised to ensure that children who are registered in the Children’s House are well taken care of especially in the areas of social development, decision making and participation.
Nkem Osseloka-Orakwue, who is popularly known as Auntie Nkem is a household name in the Children’s world from 1970s. She was the pioneer presenter of the NTA popular children programs like Tales by Moonlight, speak Out. The first coordinator of Nigerian Children’s Parliament, President of African Children Broadcasting Network, the Change Makers, and many others. Nkem is the Executive Director of Children and Young Persons Dev Centre, and Glorious Diamond Productions.
