The organizers of Roller Sport Competition, titled: Fast and famous Africa has said that there is a lot to commend on the administration of Barr Solomon Dalung as Nigeria’s Minster of Youth and Sports.
Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Roller Sport Manager, Goodness Davies, observed that Dalung has displayed dexterity and effectiveness in Youth and Sports matters in many areas and has proven that he is a youth friendly minister.
Davies noted that the Minister has great passion for the youths and he believes that young people should be engaged positively.
“For a man who believes that youths should be rightly engaged rather than waste their talent in things that are not profitable and also goes to extra mile to create a platform for such youths to discover and maximise their potentials.
“I think such passionate act it really worthy of commendation. Today we have a better organized sport federation under him”, he said.
He stipulated that today we can see the radiant impact of his administration in the number of youths who have come on board to be engaged in the game of sports within these two years, we have seen a massive harvest of youths encouraged at different sporting platforms to showcase their talent rather than waste in unprofitable engagements; ‘the impact is radiant in football, basketball, volleyball and even in our own roller sport competition upcoming in December, We can testify to the fact that there is hope for the youths in Nigerian sport.
“The Minister’s encouragement is quite uplifting to the youths; I thing he wants them always believe they can do it and charges them to do the best they can”.
He said that before now, “games like roller sport was not taken seriously at the competitive level but today the youth are streaming in and showing great interest to be part.
“If we did not have a youth friendly minister like Dalung such would have taken decades.
“We know that the honourable Minister will sure keep to his commitment to the youth as usual. We believe by this experience that it’s a new dawn for sport in Nigeria”.
