Islamic Faithfuls in Abuja celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad with fanfare

In the early hours monday in Abuja, was a massive turnout of Muslim faithfuls in celebration of the birth of prophet Muhammad, though it resulted to a heavy traffic in area 11 of Garki Abuja but was a peaceful event.
Mallam Yusuf Umar who spoke with our correspondent at a traffic junction expressed delight in being one of the faithfuls that made it out in the streets of Abuja to demonstrate and celebrate the significance of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
“We are out today to celebrate the birth of the great prophet Muhammad and every Muslim faithful is doing same irrespective of where he or she may find him or herself. The importance can’t be over emphasized.
He also appreciates the security agencies who have dedicated their time to monitor their celebration as to ensure its smoothness.
” The police, civil defence and others have actually being playing vital role in ensuring a smooth celebration, and I must say that they know their work and are focused at doing it with all sense of humility “.
He further advised all Muslim faithfuls to be obedient to security directives and caution must be taken as to avert all form of troubles even as they are still in the spirit of celebration.
As taxing as the walking round the streets of Abuja, only one person recorded fainted.
